COVERAGE IN TAMPA AND CHARLOTTE

Three students, Anna Edmonds, Gisela Lubecke, and Lilit Makaryan, were selected to attend both the Republican National Convention in Tampa, Fla., and the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, N.C. The students are working with Emmy-nominated documentary-maker Shane Slattery-Quintanilla, assistant professor in the Writing for Print and Digital Media program, to create a documentary. Claudia Smith Brinson, program coordinator and senior lecturer for the Writing for Print and Digital Media program, is also in Charlotte and covering the student activities via the Cover It Live blog featured on this page.
Joining the three students working on the documentary project in Tampa, four students, Amanda Belue, Rachel Davis, Taylor Stukes and Jen Vance represented the College as student reporters. The students were accompanied by Kim Franklin, director of Career Services.
