Graduate Program
The Master of Arts in Organizational Change and Leadership is designed for the working professional who wants to make a difference in how the work gets done in his or her organization or business. It’s about being ready when an opportunity comes along to lead in a different direction or guide your organization through change. Rapidly changing economic and social events require that leaders take bold steps and find new ways to tackle emerging issues and developments. Your confidence from learning new approaches can set you apart with readiness to lead new initiatives.

Application for admission to the M.A. in Organizational Change and Leadership program is open to women and men with a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution.

The program of study for this graduate degree is designed to be relevant, to be applicable in the work place, and to promote self understanding. The key concepts of the program will include:

Interpreting information and problem solving within complex organizations
Developing a personal leadership style
Managing and resolving conflict
Managing change and resistance
Using evaluation to make better decisions
Examining ethical behavior and its impact on decisions
Assessing your personal communication style and self concept as a leader
Using information and technology to encourage innovative change

Providing internship opportunities to practice new knowledge and skills

Behavioral Studies program offers four nationally and regionally recognized undergraduate academic majors:  Behavioral Science, Child and Family Studies, Psychology, and Social Work, and a Master’s degree and graduate certificate in Organizational Change and Leadership.

The program offers studies in anthropology, geography, psychology, sociology, social work, and behavioral science. Students have exciting opportunities to pursue their interests in understanding the individual person, human relationships, and social institutions.

We are unique because of our focus on leadership. The program faculty emphasize four dimensions of leadership in our courses and programs:

self-development (“you first”)
interpersonal relationships
(“working together”)
professional knowledge, skills, values and ethics
(“knowing your stuff”)
social responsibility
(“doing the right thing”)

We believe mastering these dimensions prepares you to be a leader in your personal and professional lives. We offer opportunities to acquire and apply knowledge, values, and skills for successful and ethical leadership. Our commitment is that you graduate as an emerging leader who recognizes that effective leadership involves lifelong learning.
