Project Gratitude: Display sponsored by The Diversity Committee and the
J. Drake Edens Library Students have the opportunity to look at pictures
and items from influential women at Columbia College; students are invited to send letters to influential women in their own lives that will be mailed during the month of March. For more information contact Brett Welsh, bwelsh@columbiasc.edu.
This Speaks to Me: On-going collaborative project sponsored by the
Women’s/Gender Studies Committee for which students and faculty
Contribute quotes from women that “speak to them” or inspire them. The committee will choose quotes to send out over the month of March in honor of the quoted Women, as well as our students, faculty and staff who have contributed to

March 17,6:30 p.m., BLC 201-202: Jennifer McGriff, Honeycutt Award
Recipient, will present “Getting Involved with Guardian Ad Litem.”
March 23, 6 p.m., Student Lounge: Chrisie Santoni, from The Billies,
will direct a song-writing workshop for the entire campus using quotes
posted in “This Speaks to Me” project. The campus community will write the
song, create the music and sing it. It will be recorded and edited.
March 24, 6 p.m., BLC 201-202: Chrisie Santoni will perform a piece from
her series “Music with a message: Living on Purpose” through which she
will highlight the lives and efforts of 3 to 4 key women leaders throughout
history. If all goes well, the song created from the songwriting workshop will be also be debuted.
