The Mall is a brick promenade through the center of campus, running between Edens Library and Daniel Hall. Built in 1967, the Mall is one of the areas constructed during the campus building boom that followed the devastating fire of 1964. Named in 1978 in honor of Dr. Spears, president of Columbia College from 1951-1977.
