Built in 1957, this house was built as the campus residence for Columbia College presidents. It was dedicated to Robert J. Maxwell Jr. in 1996. Maxwell, a Greenville resident, was a respected businessman, author, philanthropist, Board of Visitors member, Medallion recipient, and generous benefactor to Columbia College.
