Do you know a girl currently in grades 8-11 who considers herself a writer, who engages in writing in her spare time, and who goes above and beyond on her creative writing assignments?

If so, encourage her to consider Columbia College’s fifth annual Serious Young Writers Workshops for High School Girls so she can take her writing to the next level.

Workshop Dates: June 18-22, 2018

Workshops are open to girls who will be in grades 9-12 during the 2018-19 academic year and classes are held on campus.

How Do I Apply?

You can apply online via our application. We ask that you submit a writing sample; guidelines can be found in the application. Applications will be reviewed within two weeks of receipt and accepted on a rolling basis until classes fill.

Enrollment is very limited, allowing for small classes and in-depth, personalized feedback.

How Much Does It Cost?

The fee for accepted students is $199 and includes individualized writing feedback, a t-shirt, snacks, and one copy of a published paperbound book of the participants’ works written during the workshops.

Partial tuition assistance is available for students with need.
