Am I Eligible for an Evening Program?
Columbia College offers students the ability to complete some undergraduate degrees exclusively in the evening. Evening classes are typically held from 5:30pm to 9:00pm, M-F. You'll follow the same admissions steps as our traditional undergraduate students but we have additional criteria for our Evening Programs.
If you do not have any college transfer credits and are coming in as a true freshman, your high school cumulative GPA must be at least 2.10 on a 4.00 scale.
1. Meet our GPA Requirements
If you plan to transfer to an evening program at Columbia College with college credit, you must have a cumulative GPA of 2.10 on a 4.00 scale.

Associate's to Bachelor's
1. Meet our GPA Requirements
If you wish to pursue one of our associate's to bachelor's degree programs you must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.00 scale. You may transfer up to 90 credit hours from any regionally accredited institution.
2. Transfer in Required Courses
We require that your course work include: an introductory English course, a science class with a lab, and an approved math course. This is to ensure your success at Columbia College.
3. Decide Where to Take Your Classes
You may attend classes on campus at Columbia College in the evening or online in a hybrid style course. Our goal is to make the transition between your associate's and bachelor's degree as seamless as possible.

In order to shorten your commute, we've made it possible for you to take Columbia College courses at your local Technical College. These courses are taught by professors hand-selected by Columbia College for their dedication, expertise, and passion.

Am I Eligible for an Online Program?
Columbia College offers students the ability to complete some undergraduate degrees exclusively online. You'll follow the same admissions steps as our traditional and transfer undergraduate students but we have additional criteria for our Online Programs.
1. Submit a Personal Statement
You must submit a personal statement, unless you meet one of the following two categories:
- You have transferable college credit with a minimum GPA of 2.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale, or
- You have an approved training academy certification (degree specific).
If you opt to submit a personal statement, it should be a minimum of 500 words and address all of the following:
- Explain why you should be accepted for admissions.
- Explain why the program is important to you.
- Explain why would Columbia College is a good fit for your educational goals.
2. Required Documentation
Criminal Justice, Disaster and Emergency Management, and Nursing applicants may also need to submit additional documentation detailed on each individual degree page.
