Policy Overview
General Policies
- The completion of the planning sheet does not bind either party to an agreement unless or until the advertising order and agreement section is filled out and approved by all parties indicated, and down or full payment is submitted and accepted.
- All space requests and assignments are subject to adjustment at the discretion of the sponsorship director. Renewals will receive first priority, and new advertising will be handled on a “first-come, first-served basis”.
- All artwork, text, and other components must be the legal property of the submitting advertiser. Copyrighted material or material belonging to a third party may be used only with written permission of the owner or copyright holder. A copy of the written permission must be provided to the Koala Athletic Department along with the artwork or advertisement. The Koala Department will not attempt to obtain permission for use of the protected works and hears no liability for copyright infringement or other illegal conduct by advertisers or contributors.
- All advertising copy is subject to refusal and must be in line with our student code of conduct.
Artwork Policies
- For advertisers providing their own files, the following qualifications must be met. Files that do not conform to these guidelines may incur additional fees for necessary conversion, alterations, and editing. Please contact the Koala’s Athletic Department in advance with questions concerning the file specifications and/or requirements.
- All advertising should be provided in a digital format or emailed to jdockery@columbiasc.edu.
- Required file format if PDF
- Embedded images must be 300 dpi.
- The Columbia College Koalas cannot guarantee perfect color matching for banners. Submission of banners for potential publication constitutes a waiver of all claims relating to color matching and other minor errors in printing and formatting quality.
