
Biography
Carol Przybyla is currently in her fourth year as a Field Supervisor with the APEC Program at Columbia College. She retired after 35 years in education serving as both an elementary and middle school teacher, instructional coach, Director of Title I, and the last fourteen years were as an elementary and middle school administrator. During her time in education, she taught graduate level classes for the state’s Gifted and Talented endorsement through Converse College and The College of Charleston and presented at the SC Association of School Administrators’ (SCASA) Summer Leadership Conference, the SC Middle Level Conference and the SC Alliance of Black School Educators Conference (SCABSE). She developed a district-wide Step-Up Program, which assisted middle-level students who were two or more grade levels behind, catch up to their peers. She also authored a children’s book entitled, Peyton’s Story. Each year in her staff handbook she reminded teachers to, “Always remember that in every decision we make, we must ask ourselves, is this in the best interest of the child, and continue to embrace our vision of Reaching and Teaching All the Children.”
