Dr. Kristina Bell

Assistant Professor of Education

Biography

Dr. Kristina Bell is an educator and researcher whose research interests focus on new teacher mentoring and dialogic collaboration. Kristina received her Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction, her MAEd. in Curriculum and Instruction (English Education concentration), and her BA in English at Virginia Tech (go Hokies!). She has experience teaching English for all grades 8-12, along with experience teaching first-year and remedial writing courses at a two-year college. Kristina is passionate about supporting and collaborating with pre-service educators and spent four years supervising and instructing pre-service English Education MAEd and BA students at Virginia Tech.

Kristina loves to spend time with her husband, Thomas, and two cats (Ernie and Charlotte). When she is not reading, Kristina enjoys running, biking, and exploring new places.
