Dr. Quintavis Cureton

Biography
Dr. Quintavis Cureton is a dedicated higher education leader, educator, and scholar committed to advancing equity, student development, and inclusive policy-making. Prior to joining Columbia College, he served as the Associate Director of Student Conduct at Virginia Tech, where he oversaw complex student conduct operations, adjudicated Title IX and gender-based violence cases, and collaborated closely with campus partners including athletics, the Title IX Office, and the Threat Assessment Team.
Throughout his career, Dr. Cureton has held a range of leadership positions, including Assistant Dean of Students and Deputy Title IX Coordinator at Newberry College. In this role, he led student conduct and Title IX processes, supervised student wellness teams, and collaborated extensively with academic and athletic departments to support student success and campus safety.
A recipient of the Southern Regional Education Board (SREB) Dissertation Award, Dr. Cureton has presented nationally at conferences including AABHE and the College Sport Research Institute. He holds multiple professional certifications in student conduct administration, Title IX compliance, and ADA/Section 504, and is a member of organizations such as the Association for Student Conduct Administration (ASCA), the Association of Title IX Administrators (ATIXA), and the American Association of Blacks in Higher Education (AABHE).
Beyond his professional work, Dr. Cureton is a devoted father to two beautiful children—his daughter Aaliyah Cureton, who is currently in 4K Montessori, and his son Winston Cureton, a bright and energetic first grader. His greatest joy comes from being their dad and supporting their growth and learning. He also remains actively engaged in his community and serves on the Board of the Boys & Girls Club of the Midlands. A proud member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated, Dr. Cureton continues to lead with purpose, vision, and heart.
