Mike was born and raised in Camden, South Carolina. After graduating high school, he attended Wofford College where he earned a B.A. degree in Government. He then obtained a M.Ed. in Administrative Leadership and Supervision from Winthrop University. Mike has spent 30 years in public education. In the first 16 years, Mike served as a social studies teacher and coach at the middle and high school levels. He served as an administrator his final 14 years including 9 as a middle school principal. Mike is excited to join the Columbia College family and working with the APEC program.
Mike lives in Blythewood with his wife Kelly and dog "Jesse".
