Dr. Szarabajko headshotDr. Alexandra Szarabajko, Program Chair and Assistant Professor of Exercise Science at Columbia College, completed her doctorate last summer at Oregon State University. Her dissertation work, entitled “Are Tertiary Institutions Losing Sight of their Duty to Cura Personalis?” was recently published in Research Quarterly for Exercise and Sport. Since publication, Dr. Szarabajko’s research has been cited in media coverage across the nation, including:

At Columbia College, she is working with her undergraduate students to examine the status of physical education requirements in South Carolina’s colleges and universities.
