President Tom Bogart is proud to announce the appointment of Glen M. Crawford as the next Director of Athletics at Columbia College. Crawford brings with him decades of experience in collegiate athletics through his service to Reinhardt University and Lander University in various coaching and athletic leadership roles. He hopes to guide Columbia College Athletics to a place of national prominence through judicious budgetary utilization, effective fundraising strategies, competitive recruiting efforts, and a positive impact on student-athlete and fan experiences.
Dr. Bogart noted, “Glen’s clear vision for Columbia College Athletics made him the perfect fit for our institution. His passion for student success is exceeded only by his love for connecting with and transforming the lives of young student-athletes. We look forward to his imminent impact on our athletic program that is rooted in tradition and poised for success in the future.”
In addition to his bright hopes for Columbia College, Crawford has experience successfully adding new teams to existing athletic programs, assisting with fundraising events, and even connecting with local community members. Each of these professional experiences will prove exceptionally beneficial to Columbia College as the institution continues to strive for excellence in the classroom and on the athletic field.
When asked what excites him about this opportunity, Glen Crawford shared, “I couldn’t be more excited to join the team of coaches and athletic staff at Columbia College. With a stellar group of student athletes, great athletic facilities, firm foundation of success, and strong potential for expansion, the future is bright for the Koalas. Let’s get to work!”
