In Week 2 of the 2023 NAIA Women’s Indoor Track & Field Rating Index, the Columbia College women’s track and field team ranks 12th. The 12th place ranking is up two from last week’s poll, where the Koalas debut at #14.
The strength of the Koalas' racewalkers is instrumental in securing the national ranking. Four Koalas holds the top four national spots in the 3000-meter racewalk. Izabelle Trefts leads the nation in the event, followed by Victoria Heiser-Whatley, Ainhoa Colino, and Jessica Heiser-Whatley. Ariana Pratt ranks in the Top 20 while Gabrielle Huggins, Jennyfer Vigueras, and Mina Shull all ranks in the Top 40 nationally in the 3000m racewalk for the Koalas.
Additionally, the Distance Medley Relay Team consisting of Angeline Kravitz, Makayla Hollifield, Gabrielle Huggins, and Kayleigh Lodge ranks 11th nationally in the event.Back to News
