You've Already Done the Hardest Part

Getting admitted took intention, courage, and belief in yourself. Now comes the part where we make sure you actually succeed, and you don't have to figure it out alone.

You might be wondering if you can really pull this off. If you're juggling work, family, school, and your own doubts. That's normal. Every successful student sitting in your chair right now felt the same way.

Here's what's different at Columbia College: We've built our entire online experience around people exactly like you. Not around the idea of online learning. Around you, and what you actually need to thrive while balancing everything else. We understand that life doesn't pause for school, which is why our programs are designed with real lives in mind.

This page walks you through what happens next, what to expect, and how we're going to support you from day one.

Hear From An Online Student

Columbia college gave me a sense of belonging! Even though I was an online student, every time I went on campus or reached out for assistance, there was someone welcoming me, making me feel accepted and allowing me to get that on campus feel. Being able to get my bachelors online was a huge blessing to me because I work a full time job. I was able to pursue my career all while gaining knowledge and a degree!

All official transcripts from schools you've attended need to be received so we can: review transfer credits, create and active your student accounts, finalize your admissions status. You can send your transcripts directly to: Documents@columbiasc.edu. Official transcripts are those that are received directly from your previous institution (unopened) and received by our office.

Step 3: Complete Financial Aid (If Applicable)

If you plan to use financial aid, complete your FAFSA. Our Financial Aid team will: review your information, prepare your aid package, walk you through what you qualify for, show your actual cost after aid. You don't need to wait to have everything perfect. Get started, and our team will help you fill in the gaps. Our school code is: 003430

Confirmed Students

Already Confirmed? Here's what's next.

You've taken the leap. Now let's make sure you're set up for success from day one, and beyond. Confirmation isn't the finish line; it's the moment we shift into active support mode. Everything changes when you confirm, and we want you to understand exactly what that looks like and how we're showing up for you.

Step 4: Academic Planning

Once your account is officially active in our system, you'll be assigned a dedicated academic advisor, someone who will know your name, your goals, your constraints, and your learning style. This isn't a generic assignment. This is a real person who becomes your advocate and guide throughout your entire journey here.

Within your first two weeks, your advisor will reach out to schedule your first planning session. This conversation is different from a 15-minute course registration call. It's the foundation of an ongoing relationship that lasts as long as you're here.

Step 5: Prepare for Your First Term

As your start date approaches, usually about two to three weeks before your first courses begin, you'll start receiving a series of resources, guides, and information designed to get you ready, such as your Canvas Orientation course. This isn't overwhelming; it's thoughtful. We're spacing it out so you have time to absorb and prepare without it feeling like a firehose of information. you won't feel lost on day one.

Confirm Your Spot

You've already done the hard part, getting here. Now take the next step. When you confirm, you're not committing to something uncertain. You're signaling to our entire team that you're ready, and we'll respond by making sure you have everything you need to succeed.
