Assistant Professor of Exercise Science and Public Health

Columbia College is seeking applicants for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor of Exercise Science and Public Health beginning August 15, 2018. Responsibilities for this position will include teaching in both the exercise science and community and public health programs and assuming the role of program coordinator for both programs. Columbia College is a liberal arts college that highly values the teacher/scholar model. Thus, candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching excellence, a potential to sustain a program of productive scholarship, and a desire to work in a liberal ai1s environment with emphasis on leadership development. 


Assistant Professor of Psychology

The Division of Behavioral Studies and Human Inquiry is seeking applications for a tenure-track appointment in Psychology at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin August 2018. The position requires teaching twelve hours of undergraduate courses per semester and emphasizes service to the college and community. A terminal degree in clinical/counseling psychology or counselor education from an accredited institution is required as well as current licensure. Teaching responsibilities include introduction to psychology, psychological disorders, personality, clinical/counseling psychology, group process, and relevant electives on a rotating basis. Additional duties include advising, committee service, and student internship supervision.


Assistant Professor of Teacher Education

The Division of Education is seeking applicants for an Assistant Professor of Teacher Education position. This is a full-time, tenure-track appointment beginning August 2018. The school is seeking candidates who are passionate about teaching; dedicated to developing meaningful working relationships with students, faculty, and staff across campus; eager to contribute his/her interests and ideas for new and innovative pedagogy and courses; and committed to actively contributing to Columbia College's mission as a liberal arts college. Division faculty are dedicated to preparing teachers who are committed to excellence, diversity, and social justice in education and work directly with students as advisors, instructors, and mentors. The Division seeks candidates who are accepting and affirming of all people. 


Patrol Officer

Under occasional supervision, performs specialized work to ensure the safety and well-­being of the College students, faculty, staff, and the public as well as the enforcement of Columbia College rules, regulations, policies and guidelines; local, city, county, state, and federal laws. Responds to routine and emergency police situations. Reports to the Corporal or other assigned officer or supervisor.


Project Manager | McNair Center

The project manager will administer programs provided by the McNair Center for Entrepreneurism and the community outreach programs and services offered by Columbia College. You will detail arrangements for programs in tandem with the executive director. Serve as database manager; handle registration functions for all programs and oversees implementation of CRM strategies. Compile surveys and prepares summary reports for programs. Oversee marketing production and delivery functions. Serve as the office administrator and direct first impressions. Serve as ambassador of the College, including other college programs, admissions and advancement.

Please note this position is part-time, temporary position through 7.31.2018. and twenty-eight (28) work hours weekly.
