Behind the Stat

Small classes and professors who care.

My professors didn't just reach me — they invested in my future. The mentorship, the connections, the push to further than I thought I could. That's what made Columbia College worth every penny.

What You Have to Look Forward To

A Degree That Opens Doors

From internship connections across South Carolina's capital city to faculty who write recommendation letters that actually say something about you, your Columbia College experience is designed to launch your career and not just hand you a diploma.

Professors Who Actually Know You

With a 14:1 student-to-faculty ratio, you're not a seat number in a lecture hall. Your professors will know your name, your goals, and when something's off. That's what small campus learning actually feels like.

Friendships That Start Fast and Last Long

On a campus of 1,800+ students, you're not lost in a crowd. You'll meet people in your first week who become your study partners, your co-leaders, and your lifelong friends. With 50+ clubs and 17 NAIA athletic teams, finding your people happens fast.

Life in South Carolina's Capital City

Columbia isn't a sleepy college town — it's the state capital. That means real internship opportunities, a growing food and music scene, weekend adventures at the Congaree River and Lake Murray, and a city that's investing in its future just like you are.

You're already a part of something bigger.

Columbia College is built on four values: Courage, Commitment, Confidence, and Competence. They're not just words on our campus steps; they're the foundation of every class, every mentorship, and every opportunity you'll experience here. You're joining a close-knit community in the heart of South Carolina's capital, and we can't wait to see what you bring to it.

Hear It From Students Who Were Right Where You Are

The friendships I've made at Columbia College feel more like a family bond. From the first week, I felt like I had people in my corner, classmates, professors, everyone. It's home away from home.

I toured big universities, and they felt like factories. Columbia College felt personal from the first visit. The professors, the campus, honestly, the whole experience. I knew I'd have more opportunities here, not fewer.

My favorite thing about being a Koala? The community is real. You walk across campus, and people know you. I've never felt more supported or more like myself.
