Columbia College Wellness in Action: Start with Small Changes

Thanks for joining us for this fun event! You don’t need a gym membership or expensive groceries to build a healthy lifestyle. You just need the right tools and commitment.

Move More, Feel Better

  • Walk or stretch during study breaks instead of sitting all day.
  • Try a short, equipment-free workout—push-ups, jumping jacks, or squats.
  • Organize a walking group at lunch or after school.

Smarter Snack Choices

  • Instead of chips, choose popcorn or nuts.
  • Trade candy for fruit like grapes, apples, or bananas with peanut butter.
  • Carry a water bottle and drink water instead of sugary sodas.

Recharge Your Mind and Body

  • Get at least seven hours of sleep to stay focused in class.
  • Take deep breaths or short walks to manage stress.
  • Avoid energy drinks—choose water or a natural alternative like tea.

Small shifts can improve your energy, focus, and overall health. Now, it’s your turn to teach others.

Counseling SessionsT-ShirtInitiative

We've recently expanded our mental health services, which include individual counseling sessions and group counseling. Services are available either in-person or remotely.

Our counselors routinely treat students for depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and other concerns. Carve out the time you need to process, heal, and grow.

Case Management Support

Going through a particularly difficult season in life? We'll meet you where you're at with money and time management training, emergency financial assistance, medical resources, and other services. Get wrap-around support where you need it most.

Counseling and case management services are free for all full-time students—on-campus, online, and evening undergraduate and graduate students.
