Dr. Szarabajko headshotDr. Alexandra Szarabajko, Program Chair and Assistant Professor of Exercise Science at Columbia College, completed her doctorate last summer at Oregon State University. Her dissertation work, entitled “Are Tertiary Institutions Losing Sight of their Duty to Cura Personalis?” was recently published in Research Quarterly for Exercise and Sport. Since publication, Dr. Szarabajko’s research has been cited in media coverage across the nation, including:

At Columbia College, she is working with her undergraduate students to examine the status of physical education requirements in South Carolina’s colleges and universities. Columbia College is incredibly proud of the faculty who work tirelessly each day to ensure that our students receive an education that will prepare them for life after graduation.
