Ashton Peterson

Hello! My name is Ashton Peterson, and I am excited to join the Student Affairs team as the Director of Multicultural Affairs & Community Resources. I was first oriented toward diversity and justice work during my undergraduate studies. I have organized my work and studies to position myself to educate others on equitable practices, create inclusive spaces, and advocate for minoritized or disenfranchised communities. I am eager to work with students at Columbia College to explore identity, elevate marginalized voices, and discover commonalities. I look forward to building agency in students at Columbia College to advocate for themselves and others after they leave our campus and enter the professional world.
