Emily Wilson

Emily Wilson joins the Columbia College marketing team from Midlands Technical College, where she served as Marketing Manager. There, she worked daily to spread the word about the benefits of higher education and how important a college's relationship is to the community. Born and raised in Greenville, SC, Emily attended the College of Charleston, then, upon graduation, relocated to the Columbia area more than a decade ago. She is married to Gilbert-native Herb Wilson, and together they have a son, Bennett, a spry mutt, and two moody house cats. Emily is a member of and a volunteer for several arts-related nonprofit organizations in Columbia. She is one of the founders—and a former board member—of Girls Rock Columbia, and she serves on a communications advisory committee at the Columbia Museum of Art. Emily loves cooking, Gamecock and Panthers football, the Atlanta Braves, all four-legged animals, live music, and sunny days on the riverwalk.
