Biography

I was born and raised in the small town of Olar, SC and I am a high school graduate of Blackville Hilda High School. I received my Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of South Carolina Beaufort. My parents are both educators and I am a huge proponent for education.  I have a background in theater and acting, I minored in theater at USCB and have done several on stage productions and background acting in film. I love the position of admissions counselor because I can talk to those who are wanting to make a positive change in their lives and are interested in pursuing the path of education. I am so glad to be here at Columbia College where I feel I can make a difference in the world!

What’s your favorite thing about living in Columbia?

That I get to live with my Fiancée and spend all of my free evenings with her!

Why did you become an admissions counselor?

I became an admissions counselor because I was once a young person with very little guidance toward my future and felt lost. Today I feel confident to be there for those who too may feel lost.

Where is your favorite spot to eat in Columbia?

My favorite places are JJ's Tea House, Cantina 76, and Republic Biergarten.

What do you do in your spare time?

I love to spend my free time reading and doing research about history. I also enjoy being outdoors, doing things such as hiking, swimming, and kayaking. Photography however is my overall passion!
